Landslide

I use images of natural disasters on printed photo canvases to explore the cycles of damage and repair. I reimagine photographed catastrophes and entropic failures. Fragments of the printed canvas slip through paint to provide landmarks that both disrupt and complete the surface. These fundamental natural processes — at once beautiful and traumatic, essential and horrific — transform the land while the original materiality remains.
