Decomposition

These manipulated Polaroid photographs of the forest in Virginia where I live are photos are taken with a Polaroid Spectra camera using expired film that is no longer being produced. The distressed emulsion disrupts the forest images and creates a relationship between the image contained within and the surface itself, allowing for questions of "what is subject" and "what is surface."
