This 40 page catalogue contains 24 selected works from the series "Photosynthesis," taken of forest ephemera gathered from around my home in Virginia. The images are made by manipulating the camera to destabilize its internal algorithm and capturing the transient effects. They are produced without the use of filters, digital adjustments, or colored lighting. This series of photographs explores questions around perception, impermanence, and the role of the photograph as documentation.
