This work explores the cycle of damage and repair. I cut, tear, and tape photographs and found images, surrounding and embedding them with layers of paint, juxtaposing cut edges with fluid marks. My color palette is derived from nature and the body and often indicates decomposition. Inspired by the dynamics of nature I explore vulnerability and conflict through fractured landscapes. I am interested in unsettling images of growth, decay, and impermanence to find insight into restorative connections with the complexity of natural processes.
