Still Life: Rock at Strata Gallery, Santa Fe

Ephemerality, juried by Jennifer Van, is a group exhibition featuring artwork that speaks to the ephemeral—the fleeting moments in life. Still Life: Rock is from the series Photosynthesis and made with an alternative digital technique using the iphone in front-facing mode without the use of filters, digital adjustments, or colored lighting. This calls attention to the camera’s electronic process and raises questions about perception, impermanence, and the role of the photograph as documentation. Ephemerality is on view at Strata Gallery, Santa Fe, through April 21, 2023.
