Leaf Skeleton in In Site - Photography at O'Hanlon Center for the Arts, Mill Valley

From the series of photographs Photosynthesis, this photograph is made with an alternative digital technique using the iphone in front-facing mode without the use of filters, digital adjustments, or colored lighting. The in-camera process causes the pictorial space to decompose and plays with the camera’s usual framework of clear focus, color, and perspective. My photo is now up in the online exhibition In Site - Photography at the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley, CA, juried by Shana Lopes, Assistant Curator of Photography at SFMOMA.
